I spent the morning with Jenna. We went down town to see if we couldn´t get her plane tickets printed out. We couldn´t but since we were down town we thought we would make the best of it. And the best of it turn out to be sitting on a belcony eating french fries and drinking fresh fruit just well watching a parade go by.
Said good bye to Jenna and only cried a little. Ok I lied, I cryed a lot. Most of the other team members left this afternoon so there are only a few of us left.
I spent the rest of my day walking the streets with the Harder family. We went to a market that none of us had been to. It was quit the adventure. This is were we saw rat soccer. We were walking up the street when a rat ran right through David and my feet. All the people in the street were running. Not running away from the rats but running towards them. This is when we saw them kicking the rats in the street. One women kick the rat well it was still in the air. I believe it was the craziest thing I have seen on this whole trip. Something I will never forget.
Anyone up for a game?
A great adventure!
Seeing through the eyes of others.

Time to shut down shop.
July 22/2010 Cusco, Peru
Today was the last day of the clinic. We took in 250 patients and then once they were all seen we started packing up. With the whole team working is only took us a few hours to pack up. I really should say pack down because what going up must come down. We had only around 18 50lbs hockey bags to carry down all those stairs and load into the van. On top of all of those hockey bags there were dozens of large boxes to carry out also. I believe I am now ready to hike Machu Picchu.
Tonight we went out for a team supper. It was the most amazing buffet that I have ever had. I even tried the lama and it was great, mostly the most tender meat I have ever eaten. I eat the most food I have eaten on this trip at this meal. I had two plates full and even had desert. Well we were eating there was a show on. There was a group that play some peruvian music and then a group that did some dancing. They the most colorful outfits on. At the end of the show they did a big group dance where they were pulling people out of the crowd. You guessed it I got pulled up on to the stage to join in with the dance. Its a good thing I have rythem because it was a little hard to catch on to their dance.
Tonight is also my last night with my roommate Jenna. I am really not looking forward to seeing her go. I have really enjoyed getting to know her and I think that we will be life long friends.
